Journaling 101 - tip#2

Hello Friends!  I'm here today to share with you all another little journaling tip to help you put your stories down on your layouts.  This month it is easy!  I'm encouraging you all to write a letter.

Start with your title.  Usually that would include the words; to/dear/dearest...  Ideas for a title could include "A note to myself", "To my friend" or as I've used "Dearest"...

My letter has been written on a journaling tag and addressed to my four children.  But you could easily write a letter on note paper and place it in a pocket or journal directly onto the layout.

{Dearest}

Here's a little tip.  Even if you don't have a photo in mind yet to scrap.  You could always write the letter and go from there.  Think about all those love letters you might have hidden away!!

Happy Journaling...x

Fortnightly Challenge Winner

Congratulations Bellaidea!

Bellaidea's page 'Letters To Santa' was the winning entry in this fortnight's 'Celebration' Challenge.  The idea was the show us how you celebrate Christmas... either using the word 'celebrate' in your page, or documenting your celebrations, or just turning your page into one big celebration!!  lol

I love Bellaidea's misting, colours and the overall dreaminess of this page.

I hope your Christmas preparations are all going smoothly.

Cheers for now,

Jules

Fortnightly Challenge

Hello again!

It is my turn to set the fortnightly challenge at The Boxx and how could I ignore Christmas?  I know it is a busy time for all of us, so I have made it pretty simple.  The theme is 'Celebration', so I'd like you to feature one way in which you celebrate Christmas.  For me, whenever we spend Christmas Day with my family, we start the day with champaign!  Yep, it feels terribly wicked and indulgent.... but I just love it nontheless!  :)

{time for celebration}

I hope you will join in with my challenge this month.  Just pop over to the Boxx and upload to the challenge thread in the forum to be in the running to win a $10 voucher in the Boxx Shop.

Cheers for now,

Jules

December Sketch Challenge

The start of a new month always brings with it a new sketch, and this one is just simply gorgeous!

The lovely Helen Wallace is our Featured Member this month, and was lovely enough to provide both the sketch and the inspiration layout for us.  I'm sure you will all enjoy the benefits of her hard work and will agree with me when I say that it most definitely paid off!!

Aren't those little cherub cheeks so adorable?  Thanks so much Helen.  I can't wait to see the lovely inspired layouts that this one brings us.

The deadline this month is midnight on Saturday 31st December, so don't miss an opportunity to get your entry featured in the gallery for the month of January!  Just upload your layout into the Sketch thread in the Boxx forum.

Have fun.

November Sketch Winner

Welcome to December one and all!!  How exciting huh?  :)

The lovely Wendy Kaye was charged with the difficult task of selecting a winner this month.  Whilst it was not an easy decision, Wendy says she kept coming back to the same layout every time.  Understandably too!

Congratulations Janice Nicholls on this fabulous page, which will be featured in the main gallery for the month of December.

Stay tuned for the next sketch challenge.

Cheers,

Jules
